Award of the 2017 INCM Innovation Prize & Innovation Exhibition

The finalist ideas of the 2nd edition of the INCM [(Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda (Portuguese Mint)] Innovation Prize will be presented and distinguished on Wednesday, 24 May, in the industrial sector of Casa da Moeda, in a session presided over by the Minister of the Presidency and of Administrative Modernisation, Maria Manuel Leitão Marques.

The opening of the session is scheduled for 3 pm, however, as from 2 pm, guests will have the opportunity to visit the Innovation Exhibition, which will take place at the same place and will present some innovative projects that have already been implemented or are still under development at INCM.

Besides the Minister of the Presidency and of Administrative Modernisation, João Paulo Oliveira, administrator of Navigator and partner of INCM will also participate at the session and will speak about «The importance of Innovation for the competitiveness of the companies».

The final classification of the three finalist ideas will be determined and announced during this session, and 500 thousand Euros will be awarded to the 1st place, 250 thousand Euros to the 2nd place and 100 thousand Euros to the 3rd place, which corresponds to a total of 850 thousand Euros invested by INCM in the financing of these projects.

The INCM Innovation Prize aims at selecting and reward ideas that enable the creation of innovative solutions, that contribute to achieve the purpose of INCM, in particular in the areas of: new security elements; development of Information and Communication Technologies; new business models; growth and improvement of production processes and new services and products that cover unique concepts and technologies.

Manufacture of commemorative coins through additive technologies

Use of additive manufacture technologies (also called ‘3D print technologies’) for the production of disks with complex geometries and three-dimensional details.

INTMOB - Intralogistics Mobile Assistant Unit for Flexible Manufacturing System

The main purpose of the INTMOB project is the creation of an autonomous robot for the intra-logistics of INCM based on the paradigm of Industry 4.0.

Block Car Pollution

ProJet "Block Car Pollution" aims to provide the users of collective and shared transports with a reward intelligent system, supported by blockchain technology, capable of creating a digital wallet and generating digital coins at the moment of the purchase of tickets da from the transport entities associated with the project.

4h30 pm Closing of the session and continuation of the visit to the Innovation Exhibition.
