INCM will produce Finland’s EU Schengen Visa high security stickers

October 14, 2022

INCM, the Portuguese Mint and Official Printing Office, has been awarded the contract to produce Finland’s EU Schengen Visa high security stickers.

This contract is the result of INCM's success in a demanding international public tender, issued by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in February 2022, which consisted of 3 phases, starting with a pre-qualification to define a competitor’s shortlist, a subsequent extensive audit to INCM’s security printing facilities, and finally the evaluation of a comprehensive proposal that that fully responded to the demanding requirements.

This is a remarkable milestone for INCM and highlights it’s internationalization strategy in an increasingly global and demanding market looking for security and trust.

The Schengen visa is an authorization issued by a Member State of the Schengen Area (currently composed of 26 countries) for the purpose of an airport stopover, transit or short-term stay in the territory of one or more Member States, allowing the holder to present at the external border. It is intended for short-term stays of up to 90 days in each 180-day period and can be granted for the purposes of tourism, family visits, business, seasonal work, transit, among others.
