Last Friday, at the Money Museum, in Lisbon, took place the launching session of the IN3+ Award, which this year has 1 million euros to distinguish innovative ideas for new processes, services or products of the company, presented by the researchers from entities that are part of the INCM’s Innovation Network.

The session, led by journalist Pedro Pinto, started with an intervention by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, which was followed by a round table on Culture of Innovation and a speech by the Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira, concluding the presentation of the Award.

There was also a small exhibition of innovative projects and solutions from the company - INCMLab Experience - where the participants had the opportunity to get in touch with some of the solutions resulting from R&D projects already placed on the market, such as the UniQode technology, introduced in the Vehicle Registration Document and on the Portuguese Tobacco Stamp.

Researchers who are part of the INCM’s Innovation Network can compete for the IN3+ Award with projects and ideas, framed in the company's mission and vision, in the areas of New Technologies and Security Elements, Information and Communication Technologies, New Products and Services, Optimization and Improvement of Productive Processes and New Digital Business and Communication Models.

The competing proposals will be evaluated by a jury composed by Maria Manuel Leitão Marques (university professor and deputy in the European Parliament), who presides, José Ramalho Fontes (university professor and president of AESE), Elvira Fortunato (university professor and vice rector of NOVA University), João Tiago Silveira (lawyer and university professor), Pedro Pinto (journalist and university professor) and Sílvia Garcia (head of INCMLab).
