INCM hosts Lisbon Open House visitors

October 13, 2014

On the 11th of October doors at the Casa da Moeda and Imprensa Nacional buildings were opened to welcome visitors for the third edition of Lisbon Open House, an event that aims to display the city's most emblematic buildings from a cultural and architectural point of view to the general public.

This year, the Imprensa Nacional building was included among new entries at the event and, along with the Casa da Moeda building, played host to more than 250 visitors interested in the architecture of the two spaces, who had the opportunity to take guided tours.

Open House is an international initiative that this year is being held in cities known for architectural excellence, such as Barcelona, London, New York, Rome and Buenos Aires, among others. The organisation of the event in the Portuguese capital city falls to the Lisbon Architecture Triennale.

As with previous years, the aim of this year's selection is to showcase the best buildings designed and constructed in Lisbon and includes more than 70 spaces of a wide variety of types, contexts and times, which could be visited for free over the weekend of the 11th and 12th of October.
