The INCM dematerializes the data collection process for the renewal of the Lawyers Card

November 23, 2012

The implementation of an online system for the collection of photographs and images of lawyers' signatures has streamlined the process for renewing professional cards. It has reduced operational times and costs and has allowed the Bar Association to provide a better service to its members.

Through integration with the Bar Association website, the INCM now offers the possibility of carrying out the data collection process for the renewal of cards electronically through the website. The previous process was based on paper forms and involved long delays in issuing times.

Thanks to this solution, lawyers can log onto the Bar Association website and select the option to renew their professional card. This takes them to the INCM's system, from where their biographical and professional data is displayed for validation, and where they can upload photographic image and signature files.

As well as making the administrative system of the Bar Association much more simple and effective, this solution also allows the INCM to simplify its production tasks while increasing the quality of the end product and offering a more secure identification document.

The system was made available on the 9 November and it is estimated that more than 5000 online renewals will have been processed by the end of the year.
