The minting of coin is one of INCM's emblematic activities, either regarding circulation coins for payments or commemorative collector coins for numismatical and collecting purposes.
Both circulation and collector coins can be minted with normal finishing or with three types of special finishing:
Uncirculated (FDC) - correspond to circulation coins selected by the quality of their superficial finishing and that come from the first minting series. These coins are minted on selected blanks and using new dies.
Brilliant uncirculated (BNC) - correspond to coins that have both the field and reliefs uniformly bright. These coins are minted on specially prepared blanks using polished dies.
Numismatical Proof (Proof) - correspond to coins that have a mirrored field and streaked reliefs. These coins are minted on specially prepared blanks and using polished and frosted dies.
The coins with normal finishing are put into circulation at their face value and are sold by INCM.
Although less relevant commercially and in terms of production volume, the INCM manufactures other metal products of great quality and beauty, such as medals and objets d'art, other than the embossed seals and signets traditionally used to authenticate paper documents.
