Com mais de 700 anos de hist\u00f3ria, a cunhagem de moeda \u00e9 uma das atividades de refer\u00eancia da INCM. Da Casa da Moeda saem as moedas correntes usadas no dia-a-dia e destinadas a satisfazer as necessidades de circula\u00e7\u00e3o monet\u00e1ria, mas tamb\u00e9m as moedas de cole\u00e7\u00e3o comemorativas, para fins numism\u00e1ticos e de colecionismo, que d\u00e3o relevo a figuras, acontecimentos e outros elementos que fazem parte da nossa cultura e identidade.<\/p>\n

As moedas podem ter acabamento normal, sendo colocadas em circula\u00e7\u00e3o pelo seu valor facial, ou podem ter tr\u00eas tipos de acabamento especial (flor de cunho – FDC, brilhante n\u00e3o circulada -BNC ou prova numism\u00e1tica – proof<\/i>), sendo comercializadas pela INCM com valor definido de acordo com a cole\u00e7\u00e3o, o tipo de metal e a t\u00e9cnica.<\/p>\n

A inova\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica, aliada a exigentes padr\u00f5es de qualidade e a uma sele\u00e7\u00e3o cuidada de artistas e designers<\/i>, tem permitido \u00e0 Casa da Moeda reinventar as moedas comemorativas e a numism\u00e1tica nacional, mas tamb\u00e9m produzir e fornecer moeda corrente e de cole\u00e7\u00e3o para entidades emissoras e bancos centrais de diferentes nacionalidades.<\/p>\n
