With more than 700 years of history, coinage is one of INCM’s reference activities. INCM produces not only everyday coins to meet the needs of monetary circulation, but also commemorative collector coins, for numismatic and collectors’ purposes, which highlight figures, events, and other elements that are part of our culture and identity.<\/p>\n

Coins can have a normal finish, being placed into circulation at face value, or they can have three types of special finish (fleur de coin – FDC, brilliant uncirculated – BU, or numismatic proof – proof<\/i>), being commercialized by the INCM with a value defined according to the collection, the type of metal and the technique.<\/p>\n

Technological innovation, allied with demanding quality standards and a careful selection of artists and designers <\/i>has allowed the INCM to reinvent commemorative coins and national numismatics, but also to produce and supply legal tender and collector coins to issuing entities and central banks of different nationalities.<\/p>\n
